Functioning Hotline Batphone Replica?

Post by Lurky Mclurkson »

To my knowledge, nobody has ever issued a proper beeping, flashing hotline Batphone replica.
Particularly now, this would seem like a no-brainer, what with our jet-age electronics and such. ;)
A 'working' model would be impractical (hard to make calls out), but a display piece that would flash, etc, would be off the chart.

Actually. I have a beeping, flashing batphone that I can dial out. Many of us did when Samy Huven was making them. The catch is that nowadays it's hard to find a simple analog telephone line to run them on so mine is no longer hooked up. There was an accompanying number keypad box that you would dial out on.

I have a red beeping phone from Disney's Incredibles movie. It even features a choice of ringtone or beeping.
Though the beep is not pitched like the Batphone, it does light up/flash. It's not exact, but in the spirit of what you seek and fully functioning for outgoing calls. Try searching "Incredibles phone" on ebay. There are plenty available.

I started to produce them back in 2012 then I heard that someone had gotten a license to be produced with the new wave of 1966 merchandise so I stopped mid production Here is the old thread about it

http://www.66batman.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/Y ... 3557411/30

It was going to be to be blu tooth( as most people don't use land lines anymore) light up and beep mine was based on the one on the desk in the Library and Commissioner Gordons office the taller version..

Image Myself and Scott Fensterer (sculptor of the Shakespeare bust and now Face Off contestant) were doing it but stopped at the molding phase due to rumors that someone had bought a license to produce these.. It's still sitting in scotts workshop ready to mold...

I think you should definitely re-visit the production of these phones.
