Baby Batgirl returns for Halloween

Post by mwilbury »

With the help of the wonderful Catgreg, I've updated my daughter's Batgirl costume. Now in Toddler size!

The cape and cowl are from Catgreg. I again used heat-press vinyl for a bigger version of my previous Batgirl onesie design.

As much as she likes Batman (she cuddles with an Adam West plush some nights), she is not a fan of wearing the cape and cowl. So, our photo shoots are a hasty affair. No time for adjusting cowls and polishing belt buckles!

We also did some sidewalk art this weekend… She asked for a "purple Batman," and I tried to meet her halfway.

As a proud dad, I have to share some new photos. In the last several days, my two-year-old has been on a Batman kick.

She often asks to play with her Grandpa's Batphone, and this time I caught it on camera. I think Scooter would be pleased to know that his work is appreciated by the next generation. She proceeded to have a conversation along the lines of "Hi. Alright, yes, Batman." At her grandfather's request, she said, "Yes, Committ-uh-nuh."

Last week while I was working in the house, I started the '66 feature film for her, and now she's requested it four days in a row. During one viewing, she gathered her plush characters and called for her Batgirl outfit.

Dressing up was her idea this time, so she was really getting into it. I got a lot of great pics and some video.

She insisted upon wearing the outfit to dinner afterwards. I'm planning to make a "travel cape" that is carseat-friendly and attaches to the back of the shoulders with Velcro (like those Underoo sets).
