I can see it now; Steve Trevor dons a copy of the bat-suit to help the Dynamic Duo in a clever ruse...

ROBIN: Holy Doppleganger, Mr Trevor! For a second, I thought you were the real thing!

STEVE: I have to admit it feels natural on me, somehow. Who knows, perhaps in another reality...
They would have to do some sort of nod to Lyle Waggoner as Batman, right?

Of course if they didn't get the likenesses any closer than what they managed with Solo and Kuryakin, the joke wouldn't work.

Not sure how they could get Batman and Robin to 1977 without explaining why Robin's still a kid. Maybe they could get around it by having (the immortal) Wonder Woman return to man's world for a one-time '66 mission during that 30-year break she took between Seasons 1 and 2. She could see things like go-go dancers, airline stewardesses and mini skirts and say, "I think I'll give it another ten years or so and try again."

Apparently the Steed and Mrs Peel one is 12 issues. I am wondering if this will be across 2 TPB or (hopefully) 1

How about an Irwin Allen series? The Time Tunnel was set in 1968 (at least the 'present day' stuff at Project Tic-Toc was). I could imagine a story where Catwoman uses her resemblance to Dr Ann MacGregor to get into the complex, maybe as part of another scheme involving the infamous Captain Manx? Chasing her into time, the caped crusaders team up with that other dynamic duo: Tony Newman and Doug Phillips - surely the fightiest scientists ever!

This is still my Preference....
BATMAN '66 Meets Star Trek

the Heck with Green Lantern meets NuTrek! This is where it's really at!
(Especially since both series celebrate their 50th Birthday this year!)

I haven't bought the cross-over with Steed and Emma yet (I tend to be a "wait for the trade" guy), but I just saw some preview pages from Issue 2 over on Comic Book Resources and it looks fantastic! The writer has nailed the dialog for *everyone* from both shows and the likenesses are spot-on. I've been disappointed in the past with Avengers comics that didn't nail MacNee and Rigg's likenesses, and I've finally come to the conclusion that the "Batman '66" comic intentionally botched Gordon, O'Hara and Harriet because DC couldn't secure the rights to those actors' likenesses. Harriet and Gordon in particular not only didn't look like their TV versions, but indeed never looked the same from one issue to the next. Happy to say I'm very much seeing Neil Hamilton's distinguished good looks on these preview pages.

If there's any show I love more than "Batman" it's "The Avengers" (well, and maybe "Star Trek." And...okay, so maybe this isn't the place to list shows I like more than Batman), so this is looking really, really good to me.

Gonna be hard to wait for that collected edition.
