Robin 1966 Hallmark Limited Edition

Post by TravelSteveR »

I was able to order to one this morning from the same retailer that I pre-ordered Catwoman this time last year. I wanted to post the picture, but when I went back to the site, it was gone, which may mean the company has reached its maximum number of orders. I've searched online from other retailers, and I could not find another one. Ironically, I went online to order the Batcopter from this company, but they did not have it listed, and I stumbled upon the Robin. I have left them a message to see what is going on and will keep you posted.

Are you referring to an ornament, Steve?

It's out there! 2017 Robin The Boy Wonder Special Limited Edition for Oct 9th Ornament Premier $36.95. EXCELLENT! EXCELLENT! (Sorry, couldn't post the photo without giving away the dealers name. I'm sure someone will be able to shortly.)

Yes, in the same series and scale as the Batman, Joker, and Catwoman.

;) I like it better than Batman. A total mismatch IMO. They need to make a nongoofy Batman now.

$37! They really jacked up the prices. Catwoman and Joker were much less.

Although I like the Batman one because the pose is iconic for me I agree with John, this makes Robin look pretty silly standing next to a jumping for joy Batman-- or vise versa. They should make a version of Batman with the Tweeterhead pose to go with this one, but at $37 I would pass hard on this anyway.

You wrote dealer, makes me think they raised their price. I would bet $19.95 in store like the rest were.

Absolutely right! A total mismatch with the existing Batman.
It seems Hallmark isn't stopping with the Batman merch... so maybe a matching Batman ornament is in the works.
Prices are starting to get a bit steep too.

Agree the $37 can't be right. Catwoman was like $15.95 or something. I assume Robin be the same or no more than $20.

Does limited edition mean that it doesn't get released (understood in lesser number) along with the regular line?

This usually means it is un catalogued and released in October with the late releases and in very limited quantities, usually 12 or less.
