Layers for cold temps
How do you guys stay warm when wearing your costumes in cooler areas? I built a Batman costume with the NY dance company tights and I'm a bit worried about an engagement I have tomorrow. I'm in WI and it's going to maybe touch 40 tomorrow and we'll be outside. At least it will make my dance belt's job easy!

I don't costume but I would assume Special Super Thermal B Long Underwear.

Re: Layers for cold temps
Too short notice for you to probably do anything about it but one can wear another layer of tights and tunic under the outer pair and that can go a long way. Under Armor that doesn't have a visible logo or overly thick stitching that might show through the tunic can help too. But I've definitely have had my share of 40 to 30 degree outdoor appearances with just the regular suit and it can get real brisk.
Re: Layers for cold temps
I've worn bike pants & a long sleeve T-shirt under mine. It's a big help against biting wind which does go right through the tights/tunic. I've never worn extra gloves under mine but that may also be something to consider.

Thank you for the ideas everyone!

Re: Layers for cold temps
Ditto on what Scott said. Two pairs of tights and two tunics are how I braved a couple of rather bracing outdoor appearances here in UK during winter months.
Re: Layers for cold temps
I feel your pain my friend. I’m in eastern WI here and watching our forecast for tomorrow, we are looking at low 40s and 10- 15 mph winds tomorrow. Quite a bit different from what we were blessed with the last 2 years. It’s too bad because we have been spoiled with 60 and 70 degree temps the last few weeks? Damn Mr Freeze! I’m just going to have to suck it up seeing as I don’t have a 2nd pair of tights. My wife joked to get my “ super thermal B long underwear...
