Alex Ross does great work. I just wish he'd stop with the Frank Miller-style Dark Knight depictions and do more of Batman.

Miller depictions? Ross? Don't get that at all.

Re: Alex Ross Julie Newmar Catwoman
He does his Batmen all with the huge, over-exaggerated black bat splattered across the chest. Something started by little Frankie M. in his hysteric fits over Infantino's improvements. I'd often wondered why Miller or Lee (and Ross for that matter) never gave Batman his bright purple gloves or gun and holster back if they truly wanted to bring Batman to his original look, but I've noticed revisionists like to cherry-pick their truths.

Well, the original Batman from the comics was not bright anything--even the blue parts of the costume were darker, unlike what would be the color model in later years.
About the Ross painting: wonderful as usual.
