Looking for the “bomb” from the 66 movie

Post by TK715LUKE »

I am new to the board and I posted in the crafty forum because I’d love to construct one. Having said that, I need one in a big hurry. If anyone can help point me in the right direction, I’d greatly appreciate it.

I always thought the "Time Bomb" toy from that era was a great replica

Here's a 12" christmas ball ornament you can get in 2 days with Amazon Prime for $30:

If you don't want to paint one yourself, here's a very expensive black 12" sphere. Don't know what the shipping would be like:

PS - I made mine in a few hours out of carved insulation foam, spackling, black spray paint, and a piece of ethafoam insulation rod with wire through the middle for the fuse, and a spark made from christmas tree tinsel.

As you're doing this, remember that, if you REALLY want to be accurate, the bomb used in the movie was NOT really spherical - the bottom was flat. And it really didn't have a fuse - the sparks just flew out of the top cylinder.
