The Batman Tv Show Did It First

Before Daisy Duke there was Legs Parker.
Before Batfleck, Adam had 'em.

Fun. But I think Gilligan's Island beat Batman to the punch with Mary Ann before Legs Parker.

So that brings up the age old question, Ginger or Mary Ann?

Ms. Wells wore a halter while Legs and Daisy wore a shirt.

Sometimes she wore a halter and sometimes she wore a shirt for that look. Legs didn't do the tied bare midriff though.

Now here's a real dilemma - Legs Parker, Daisy Duke, Ginger, Mary-Ann, or a piled-high, never-ending plate of your favorite cheeseburgers? What to do? What to do....? :P

I’m a greedy bugger, both. If I really had to choose, I’d say Mary Ann.

Mary Ann, but that's because I always go more for the 'girl next door.'

I've even seen a similar type question raised about Jan Smithers and Loni Anderson from WKRP in Cincinnati. Smithers, the 'girl next door' often does well, like Mary Ann.

If you look at what the batmobile had, most of those gadgets are now standard equipment on todays cars, the batmobile had them first, car phone, gps, on board tv, push button start, anti theft devices..etc..

oh and DEFINITELY Mary Ann!!

Batdiamond as a girl's best friend? Oh wait. That was a thing for hundreds of years, albeit of smaller proportions.

Back on topic, folks. Batman series did it first stuff and not "who is cuter?" shootouts.

There's actually quite a few things foreshadowed in Batman from the 60's that have come to fruition today. Of course most of that is out of necessity and not directly influenced by Batman. But it's interesting to see things that may have seemed impossible in the 60's are now reality.

For instance, whenever I see Snapchat or Instagram filters that alter a picture of someone's face, it reminds me of the Clock King episode where Batman manually drew a mustache on a picture of Clock King to match his face with Progress Pigment. This also foreshadowed what is now facial recognition technology.

And whenever I see Batman consulting maps in the Batcave, modern day Google Maps come to mind.

I don't know where DNA testing technology was in the 60's, but Batman determining so much information about Catwoman's henchman from a strand of hair would not be unusual today; even if the information gathered would be different.

And whenever I use the voice activation feature to ask a question to my phone, I think of Batman. ;)
