BATMAN SERIALS MESSAGE BOARD
Hey Kids-
No relation to Scott's mention of putting all 1943 and 1949 Batman serial references here in the Off Topic Section other than it got me thinking that there should be some kind of internet presence for the Serials which would be similar to what we have here for the '66 Batman-- and lo and behold BatmanSerials.com was available so I registered it and I have the minions furiously building a site with message board even as we speak. I'll do an update when it's up and running but it should be a basis for a lot of information.
Not much up yet but it will be here;

That is awesome, can't wait till this is finished, I love the 1966 board, but always wished there was one for every decade of batman, this is one step closer!

Cool. I just joined and can't wait to see how it develops. It really does need it's own space out there. Score on the domain name!

Re: BATMAN SERIALS MESSAGE BOARD
While reading about the film "Batman Begins" I came upon this:
"The film inspired James Bond Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli to reboot the James Bond franchise, and reinvent the character of British Secret Agent James Bond, and making him much darker, and more realistic with Casino Royale (2006)".
Michael Wilson is the son of Lewis Wilson - the actor who played Batman in the first live action version of Batman in the 1943 serial.

If you could bring back one poster to 5af, who would it be and why?
Is there any way to bring add new members on a non-reddit message board in this day and age?

Re: BATMAN SERIALS MESSAGE BOARD
I love this! I always wanted a specific source of information regarding the serials. I have a few suggestions too, if may get out: I think that information regarding other DC comics serials should be included (why Wonder Woman didn't get one, how Republic changed their plans for a serial about the 'Man of Tomorrow', supposed findings for a custom Batmobile for an "alleged" third serial etc.), though not too much since this is a Bat-Man site. Second, pre-production information, notes, scripts, and ideas should be included (though there is some and there isn't much still around), especially rumors of the Joker originally being the main villain. And finally, a section devoted to fan made scripts, stories, artwork, and predictions that deal exclusively with the 1943/1949 film serials.
These are just a few of my own ideas and are probably either idiotic or already done. Anyway, great work and you now have a subscriber in me.
