I'm in LA with my girlfriend for a weekend getaway from the cold streets of Gotham (Chicago). Yesterday I was able to cross one item off my bucket list - finding the Batcave.
Sadly I don't have time to visit the backlot to see Police HQ. Will have to save it for another time. However I did bump into Catwoman at the Tim Burton-themed bar last night.
And appropriately enough, yesterday the podcast had 77 downloads, the most downloads-per-day since I started the show.

Awesome that you made "the pilgrimage"! It never gets old! Nothing beats the feeling of coming up around the ridge on the fire-road and seeing the cave.
Glad you had a great trip!

So...was the foliage that surrounded the entrance of the cave in the TV show added for the filming, or has the landscape changed that much in 50+ years? Obviously I know the “door” was added...

Thanks. I was also able to catch the Batman '66 Exhibit at the Hollywood Museum on the morning before we left for home. Literally took my breath away as I was walking up the stairs to the exhibit floor.Ben Bentley wrote: ↑Sat Apr 27, 2019 5:13 am Awesome that you made "the pilgrimage"! It never gets old!
