Corgi Jr figure in Hot Wheels Batmobile

Post by Lou Szabo »

I just ordered some reproduction Corgi Jr Batmobile figures
These come joined at the shoulders, but I didn’t want to dismantle the car.

I clipped these and sanded down the shoulder stems.
To insert Batman, you’ll need to raise the steering wheel from the passenger side with a tine screw driver or sturdy narrow pointing device. Once you slide him under the steering wheel, the wheel will drop and lock him into position.

Robin needs a drop of glue on his bottom to hold position in the passenger seat.

Now you drop the car into your Batcave diarama, atomic batteries to power, turbines to speed, ready to roll.

I never thought I would have needed a tutorial for this but it came at the perfect time-- my figures arrived today and I was struggling for 10 minutes trying to figure out how to get them in there. I was just about to dismantle the car when I saw your post-- so a big thanks Lou-- worked like a charm!

Andy, you are welcome. Ironically, I meant to post it in BatCrafts, so I’m glad you found it.

Bat tip of the day:
By the way, I needed to keep the Batmobile from rolling around, so I grabbed a tie wrap (Black) and created a U shape under the car on the driver side (Atomic Pile side), and the top of the U was tucked up into the front and rear fender on the passenger side. This somewhat locks the wheels in place, and the price was right. ;)

I bought a couple more directly from the guy. He is sold out, had a rush on them in the past two weeks.

I think we wiped him out, Lou-- I have a few lose Batmobiles lying around so I picked up a couple. Went to get some more and he's out.

Great minds think alike! I did this a couple of years ago... Corgi Jr figures and redline wheel swap. I found a guy in the UK that sells reproduction figures in case you are still looking. Steve Flowers Model Supplies.

Ebay. Corgi Jr Batman should be enough. Australia or U.K. only. I opted for preprinted figures.

Www.recovertoy.com is the guy from Oz. See the website on the bag in the first picture.

Corgi jr figures are here
