Bat Shield
Im curious to know how those of you with full size Bat Shields mounted them? I have one of Alex's, was thinking about a shadowbox.
Re: Bat Shield
That would be one massive heavy shadowbox, and most likely home built due to the size.
I have it anchored by the straps on to a steel entry door that is unused to the outside.

Lol Scott...
I had it anchored, but just didnt think it looked right.
And yes, very big shadow box, probably too heavy and expensive

Yep, I used a curtain rod with metal hooks at the ends and painted to match the door of my shop...

Re: Bat Shield
Not a bad idea Chuck, looks great.
I may just go to that seeing how stealthy it looks.

Re: Bat Shield
I had a local framing studio build a shadow box for my shield and batarangs. I'm tempted to add some red pin-striping to the frame, but imagine it'd be more trouble than it's worth...

Re: Bat Shield
Very cool indeed! Are those the prop identification "tags" from Etsy?
Re: Bat Shield
You can find readymade red adhesive pinstriping for a variety of uses (car, model car/airplane, etc), pretty easy to apply in my experience. However, I think it would distract from the cool props and background art.
Re: Bat Shield
I do believe that is where I found them; if memory serves, I had to request the Yvonne Craig one be added to the range.Ben Bentley wrote: ↑Sat Apr 18, 2020 5:35 amVery cool indeed! Are those the prop identification "tags" from Etsy?

Re: Bat Shield
Absolutely brilliant Wibble.
It is a little hard to tell from the pic, is the Adam' rang behind or on top of the shield?
Very nice, it is a hard piece to display.

The Batarang is on top and secured using loops of fishing line.
