That is a cool Batsignal.

I also got the 60s Batman & Robin Funko pop that Keith posted.

Finally, I got Golden Age Batman Omnibus volume 7

Snagged these two for my Action Comics #1 and Superman #1 homage collection.

No shame, but it's certainly weird!

I really thought the Scooby Batmobile would be easy to find, but it’s been surprisingly elusive. I definitely want a few more, so I may be going that same route. It’s a cool piece alright. Aside from the fun silliness, it has also has a nice weight and presence. It’s on my desk at work. 8-)

Well, this came in from NJ Croce, here's the photo in their listing;
NJ CROCE BATMAN II.jpg
The 1939 Batman is one of my favorite versions of Batman-- if not THE favorite. I originally ordered a gross of these and was going to wholesale them out, but at the last minute I called them and cancelled all but a minimum order and I'm glad I did. I suspected they wouldn't be able to deliver on the promise of that prototype package and they didn't-- here's what it actually looks like;
IMG_3825.jpg
It's not that it's bad-- we're not taking Bradford Exchange level disappointment, but the lack of the arms akimbo which is so iconic and the cape not having the interior bright blue make it miss the mark a bit. I cancelled because I knew the double color cape would be too expensive for them to produce. I still like it, but nowhere near as much as the prototype.

Oh Andy! I am sorry. I know how much you were looking forward to this figure. I'll still be buying one, they certainly wont get multiple orders from me. And what's with his right leg? Ouch!

Wow, sort of the same thing here, Andy.

I preordered as soon as possible but about two months later my Spidey Sense (or Peter Tingle) kicked in. Glad I didn't waste the money. It's too bad as up until this I've been rather pleased with the offerings of NJ Croce.

Well, turns out that I DID preorder it. Here's my review:
My preordered NJ Croce 80th Anniversary bendy figure arrived today and after opening the package and looking it over, here are my thoughts:
As you can see in the first photo, the prototype had a stiff plastic cape that was painted blue on the inside. In the second photo you can see that instead it comes with a much larger all black cape made of cloth. It's large enough to completely cover his body all the way around the front. I chose to leave it open to show the utility belt. Posed in that manner you can't really see that they left off the blue interior. The arms have no wire below the elbow so it takes a bit of work to get the fists on the hips in the classic Golden Age pose, but it can be done. My biggest complaint is that the figure is so top heavy that it cannot stand on it's own. After many tries at a stand alone pose I gave up and propped him against something in my display cabinet (photo #3). I haven't had that problem with the 1966 Batman figures they produce so I don't know what the problem may be.
Overall I give this figure 3 out of 5 stars. Good points are that it's the Golden Age Batman at a fair price. Most of the GA figures I have were MUCH more expensive. I like the cloth cape but wish they'd kept the blue interior shown in photo #1. Biggest problem is that it cannot stand on it's own.

On the other hand it’s an opportunity for customizing, starting with the cape underside.

I think it's still a great looking representation of the first appearance of Batman. At least his cape is black on the backing card, albeit with blue highlights so the figure doesn't look inaccurate.

The main issue for me is that he's not properly placed in the plastic blister making his right arm noticeably in the wrong position. Still, if I see one in the wild that's placed properly I'll pick one up.

I know I'm being incredibly picky but that interior blue cape is as important as the little purple gloves. Apparently I wasn't alone in canceling large orders-- these displayed at Toy Fair caused a stir among the retailers there. I didn't see it there.

It's still fine, it's just not great.
Life goes on.

Snagged this from Hot Topic and immediately removed the metal from his cranium.
