Coming Soon!
Photographing these fellas for the website this week. The two ways we are offering "The Ultimate 1966 Bat Cowl". The First Season paint on the left, with or without the extended ear paint, and the Movie/Second Season paint with the flopped center fabric section which gives an entirely different look to the cowl...These will be numbered and will end when our original fabric supply runs out... We only have a few yards left. Bust not included...

It's amazing just how much the flopped grainline and paint changes the look of the cowl!

Another difference is that these are padded and lined just as the original we examined!
The same tan color you saw when The Mad Hatter had it in his grasp!

Re: Coming Soon!
Both versions look great, I would be happy to own either one of them.
Re: Coming Soon!
So the flopping the center section in the movie version means the pattern rotated 90 degrees from the side panels. So if the original had vertical stripes the center section, the movie version would be horizontal? Is that correct?
Some days you just can't get rid of a ... SHARK!

Re: Coming Soon!
It happens sometimes when you are cutting out parts. The pattern piece will get flipped over and you end up with a mirror image of the piece.
Since this is satin, you end up with a mirror image of the highlights...
I think is was designed to be as it is in the first season. When flopped ,the center seam lights up like on the pier in the movie and the nose looks wonky...
