Some of my favourite T-shirts of the 80s and 90s, now preserved as scatter cushions by my niece. Some shirts were too tiny to ever fit me again, or too stained to wear. Several are now back-to-back designs. Batman, Robin and Superman are backed with satin in their cape colours! Super special.

My niece did try to save the captions on the "Batman '66" shirts, but the shapes weren't working. They are beautifully lined with iron-on interfacing! Gorgeous.

Cushions arrive! by Ian McLean, on Flickr
Wow! My niece and I are still separated by the Queensland “no Sydneysiders allowed” CovidSafe border. Plans to visit in person constantly dashed. Today two large parcels containing my recycled T-shirt cushions arrived unannounced! What a lovely surprise. Thank you so much, Hayley!
