The Retrotoys 1966 Batcave playset arrived yesterday.
The add-on cave is due next with the atomic pile, shipping by the end of the week.
I asked him about a Jonny Quest playset. He’s adding it to his ever growing list. You graphic artists have all the fun!

Congratulations on that. I remember what a thrill it was getting it back in 1984. Back then, we didn't have access to a lot of golden age Batman stuff. I was also quite shocked to see Batman chucked crooks off roofs and knocking them into acid vats.Keith Mayo wrote: ↑Mon Mar 23, 2020 10:28 pm Finally added the 1984 Oreo Giveaway to my reprint collection.
Since I've gotten multiple reprints of the three stories in it, I thought about selling mine a few times. I remember how excited I was about getting it, though, and I've never been able to let mine go. I don't think I will.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
I've added these to my collection this week.
Detective Comics 239 January 1957
World's Finest 117 May 1961
Robin 80th Anniversary Special - 70s Variant cover by Kaare Andrews
I also got a non-Batman related item I wanted a mention. I got Dell's Lone Ranger 37 from July 1951. This is now the third oldest comic I have and is older than my oldest Detective. I don't normally collect Lone Ranger, although I used to be a huge fan as a kid. I only gave $7 for the comic since, I guess, the character doesn't have much of a fan base any more. I've heard that a lot of old collectibles that are valuable now won't be once their fan-bases start to die off. I've already seen that with Elvis. Anyone think that might happen to Batman one day? I hope not.

Looks great! I'm so charmed by this.
Is that the Mattel Batcomputer Lou?
Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
No, TMMello was on here that for a short time made 1/9 scale accessories. I have his bat computer and bat signal. He also made stuff for the Wayne library, the desk which would work with the batphone and Shakespeare bust

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
I added 9 comics from the late 50s and 60s to my collection this week. Since Batman is my favorite character, six were Batman issues. I also got two Superman issues and a Spider-Man issue. Let me know if anyone wants to see those and I'll post them.
Batman 126 September 1959 cover by Curt Swan and Stan Kaye
Batman 127 October 1959 Cover by Curt Swan and Stan Kaye
Batman 128 December 1959 Cover by Sheldon Moldoff
Batman 129 February 1960 Cover by Sheldon Moldoff
Batman 141 August 1961 Cover by Sheldon Moldoff - This issue pushes my consecutive issue run back a couple of months. Previously, my run started with 142, but I bought 140 recently so now my consecutive issue run begins there. I also have 138, but I know I'll never be willing to pay what is being asked for 139 (the first Betty Kane/Batgirl)
Batman Annual 3 - 1962 - I have the Batman Annual Hardcovers, so I shouldn't have bought this one, but I got a good price and who can resist the Gorilla Boss cover? Gorilla Boss was one of the first Batman comic book stories I ever read, in a 1976 reprint.

It's gorgeous, with homages to the 70s Mego action figure line: title font from the box art, Batman's utility belt, Batgirl's shiny blue cowl.
"Holy nostalgia, Batman!"

That car is BIG!
I would be all over a '66 Lego Batmobile in that scale!
