WARNING:
The book is not a gushing love letter to the show, as one reviewer believed it would be for some reason.
Just thought I'd give you a heads-up before you wasted your money on a book that doesn't just say the same old things about the show.

(Btw, I welcome ALL reviews, critical or not. When you build something and put it our for public dissemination, you take the heartaches and the pats on the back and like it.)

Thanks for the heads-up, Jim. I have ordered mine, after listening to your discussion with Chris over at Fire and Water. I wasn't expecting the books not to be critical at some point. There isn't any show that doesn't have its bad episodes. Even if some of the book is critical of episodes that I enjoy, I don't expect anyone to like exactly the same things I do.
As I mentioned over at F&W, I love Spock's Brain and I know I'm in the minority there.

I appreciate that very much. I expect everyone to make up their minds for themselves about both buying and reading the book, but I do want to clarify any misperceptions about it before they head into it.gothosmansion wrote: ↑Sun Apr 26, 2020 6:28 am Thanks for the heads-up, Jim. One of the very cool things for me is that we're starting to get reviews from outside the U.S.

Jim--OUTSTANDING spot on Worst Comic Podcast Ever. But I must correct you--Julie sitting out the movie because of Mackenna's Gold is a Bat-myth.Jim Beard wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 8:34 am This is me talkin' about the book with the dudes over at Worst Comic Podcast EVER!

I don't have it on me, but I have seen a copy of a signed contract for $10,000 for her to appear in the 1966 movie, dated April 1. According to reports in newspapers at the time, she bowed out because of the recurrence of a painful back injury.
