So without going full-blown "THAT GUY", do we know why the date is in September (not March/May?) and why it keeps moving? Is it like Easter? haha
Don't get me wrong i'm all for this coinciding with Adam's birthday, but this has intruiged me for the last few years!

Here's Batman Day history according to Wikipedia. The first one was July 2014 and the rest have been consistently in mid-latter part of September. I'm guessing that instead of celebrating it in May (to coincide with unofficial Batman Day celebrations tied to the debut of Detective Comics #27) DC anchored it in September as a marketing tool in much the way that TV networks premiere new programming in the Fall.

I don't know if this has been noted on the board yet but the traditional public-involved Adam West Day festivities have largely been cancelled for this year due to Covid 19. Here's their most recent post:

Today is the day- the birthday of the best Batman himself the legendary Adam West, who really brought the character of Batman to life. You are missed but forever the beloved hero and Caped Crusader! Happy Birthday!
