What computer is this?

Post by dreddbatfan »

I've been working on a Lego 1966 Batcave for the last 3 years and I'm slowly getting to the end.I came across this computer but I can't read the label on it because it's blurry or to much light on it.I've already made it out of lego parts but I need to know the name of it.If anybody knows what this is please let me know. Thanks for any help that you can give me,I really appreciate it.

Do you have a specific episode where you saw this computer used? If so i'm happy to dig out some screen captures for you.

It is worth noting however (as i'm sure you know), the Batcave computer equipment was often renamed on an episode to episode basis, depending on what the script required.

I've tried to ID this for "Dread" but haven't yet found an episode where the label is on the unit. It's moved around, sometimes missing and of course Ben is correct, labels moved from episode to episode, gadget to gadget.

Note: this is a very thin device and the rectangular unit on top is actually not sitting on top of it but back on a cave alcove with a flat surface.

For what it's worth, it appears the first word is 'atomic' and the last word appears to end in 'tor' so perhaps 'regulator' or 'generator'. So perhaps 'atomic power generator'. It's odd that they would place the label over a row of buttons.

The BatLabels twitter feed seemed like a good resource for this. I didn't look long enough to confirm whether it ever featured the label @dreddbatfan asked about, but I did find another instance of a label being placed on that machine: With the label mounted topside, it served as the "BAT-MO AND ID COMPUTER"

Update: This is from "Batman's Anniversary," the first of the John Astin Riddler episodes.

Could the label read "ATOMIC PRESSURE INDICATOR"?

Image

That sign is seen here attached to a different console, but the word length and character count look about right in comparison to the B&W image.
