Batgirl Belt Help
Has anyone found a belt like Batgirls or do you know any of the measurements from it?
I'm thinking about 3D printing each of those little belt scallops because they are not like the fish scale belts that I have seen.
Thanks guys!

Where did you get this photo? I looked at several images online of Yvonne wearing the Batgirl costume and the belt looks like a fish scale belt to me.

Re: Batgirl Belt Help
Its confusing because I found this one too but this looks more like the pictures I'm finding. The top ones belt logo doesn't look correct. It looks like Batmans chest logo.

Re: Batgirl Belt Help
if you read the costume's description on that link it states "The outfit is 100 percent screen-worn: Everything but the belt is from the TV show, while the belt itself is from the famed ’70s television public-service announcement promoting equal pay for women." SO the belt is screen used, but NOT from the tv series.

Re: Batgirl Belt Help
I believe these are photos of the actual screen used buckle, sorry don't know the size
Re: Batgirl Belt Help
Batgirl/Catwoman belts are readily available on many ebay listings. Just do search for Vintage Fish Scale belt and have a reference photo to compare.
Re: Batgirl Belt Help
Also if you look at the fish scale belts, this batgirl belt may be worn upside down.

Re: Batgirl Belt Help
I was helping a friend make her Batgirl costume in the late 80s. We stood around debating colours and textures of three bolts of purple fabric, decided on one - and, as we were leaving the store, noticed a small display of belts with a lone fish-scale belt (with a rectangular buckle, easily made oval-shaped with the vinyl logo I made for her).

Therin, Such fun you had. Fantastic job on all of those costumes.

The pouches can easily be made with craft foam and some thumb tacks for the buttons or googly eyes. Here's a pic featuring someone else's build.

Yeah. The pictured one in the original post is the one made for the 70's PSA. The ones from the show are the fishscale ones like Catwoman's as A. Pennyworth and Lou said.
Re: Batgirl Belt Help
If you ask Chuck Williams nicely, he can make the belt buckle. It’s Spectacular!

Here’s the one I bought
Vintage Gold Tone Metal Fish Scale 'Disco' Elastic Stretch 2" Wide Belt - 25" L. Stretches comfortably to 31"L.
Good condition from the 1980's. A few very minor scratches.
perfect gold color on fish scales. Floral on buckle This I’ll be a fun build. I plant to use the plans above and in some older threads for the pouches and pouch attachments.
