bluetooth batphone?
Hi, all.
I seriously tried to search this topic here, without useful results. I have a hard time believing no one's done this, but I can't find any references to it.
Has anyone kit-bashed a bluetooth handset into a batmobile-style batphone replica? So they have a functional phone? Is it even remotely possible? Are those replicas I see kicking around solid resin castings that would be impossible to wire anything into?
Thanks!

Re: bluetooth batphone?
Interesting, Mark. Is the handset vacuuformed? Fiberglass?
I'm assuming it's an original sculpt, rather than something you retrofitted, as I thought I might try to do.
I was thinking about buying a cheap bluetooth handset and pulling it apart and sticking it in a resin Batmobile phone kit. Maybe not practical - but bluetooth handsets are so cheap now, I figured it would be a reasonably inexpensive experiment.
Anyone else? Bueller?

Ah ha, answered some of my own questions by digging deeper in the 1966 Batmobile Message Board. Mark's is vacuformed plastic - at least, one of them is.
Hm - didn't remember that it lit up. Another puzzle to solve!

Re: bluetooth batphone?
I've made Batmobile batphones in fiberglass, two part resin, as well as vacuumformed plastic--none are easy. I'm making a new buck to accommodate the three lights, the microphone, and the speaker. I hope to mold it (and the base) later this week. The phone itself will be translucent red when completed. We did a test, and the lights looked fantastic!
