You brought up a good question..I have never seen a color photo before it was finished

I was told at a car show that cars with flat paint look much better when they use glossy paint with a gloss retarder added to it. It gives the car a better glow and makes the paint not so uneven. I wonder if that process had been done to the Batmobile maybe it would have stayed flat looking and we never would have gotten the glossy version?

I checked through the Greg Jein auction; although there are lots of B&W images of the flat black Batmobile there were no color ones.

I had seen the second shot before, but not the first until recently, which reveals nicely the Old Writers Buidling on the Fox Lot in the background.

I love cars painted matte black, but I'm so happy they painted this glossy and added the red.
