The official new Superman costume. It relates to Batman as it gives an idea of James Gunn's direction with costumes.

To me the costume looks like it's a low budget CW costume and I wish it had brighter colors especially for the S than just muted colors.

The coloring seems a little dark to me too. I hope part of that could be that its dirty and burnt and the room lighting. I got my fingers crossed that the dark gloomy days of DC movies are gone.

I'm normally a purist and want it to be 100% original costume, but I do like aspects of this one. I'm glad he has the briefs and the yellow belt. I like that it doesn't have fake padded muscles too. The boots have some weight to them that looks cool and could add to his stance.

I'm actually excited about this movie and hopeful for what it could be.

I think it looks really good! I especially love the return to the classic more saturated coloring. Plus, if you peak you can see that he's even got the red undies! The logo is better than the Cavill one as well.

Terrible! Hollyweird just can't do it anymore if their lives depended on it. Hero films are over anyway so I don't expect this to do well. As for James Gunn, well, the less said about him, the better.

Great looking costume! Glad to see trunks back. Appears the cape will be crazy long. The actor is incredibly buff as well!

Movie Superhero costumes have been off and terrible beginning with Keaton's 1989 suit. Nothing new. That said, I prefer this one over Cavill and Routh's.

I think that Deadpool's costume is one of the best. It doesn't look like rubber or spandex and doesn't have large fake sculpted muscles or tons of plastic armor. Also, the suit doesn't bulk up the actors' proportions and make him look clunky. The best thing is his head turns!! Plus, it's pretty accurate to the comic and they don't trick it up each movie to sell more merchandise. At least as far as I've noticed.

I'm with Scott-- when they decided superheroes wore rubber starting in 1989 I checked out.
I haven't sat through an entire Marvel or DC Movie since laughing out loud at the horrible Batman V Superman movie, made it almost all the way through THE BATMAN with Emo Patterson but left when I couldn't take it anymore.
These movies aren't for me, so in my world they don't even exist.

I'm hearing the "low budget CW costume" from many, and that is not good, since the CW DC shows were largely piles of cheap garbage (juat take a look at Superman and Lois or Supergirl's costumes. Terrible). This "Superman" suit appears like a cheap, oversized Halloween costume, not at all coming close to the perfection that was Cavill's Superman costume (that's also a comment on casting).

I'm not a fan of James Gunn at all, and his history with superhero properties was abysmal (including his behind the scenes tinkering on The Flash movie). DC movies were soaring with high quality, impactful adaptations in at least 4 of the DCEU movies, and I can guess that's never going to be surpassed by Gunn.
