Really like how the rocket tubes are firing indiscriminately behind them as they’re speeding along. I’m guessing the artist thought they were some sort of turbo boost. Very cool.

Just located the glow-in-the-dark limited Platinum 6" action figure of Lord Death Man (in McFarlane Toys' "Batman '66" line) here, Down Under. "Popcultcha" sent me a link to their website promoting this rarity, which always goes for much more on eBay than the regular figures. Sure enough, there was no extra charge for this Platinum version.

There were four of those UK "Storybook Annuals" brought out in the sixties. The stories in the first one bear no resemblance to anything we ever saw, but the next three are styled straight from the TV series, clearly the writers had seen a few episodes by that time.

All the major villains appear, there's return of a few one-shots (Archer and Minstrel), plus a few new ones we never saw on TV. They even used the same henchman names (Penguin has Shark and Octopus, Minstrel Treble and Bass etc). A lot of fun to read for fans of the show, well worth searching out.

There’s even one with Adam West on the cover trying to get rid of a bomb.

Nice photo. The Batman annual with the photo cover was brought out by a different publisher, but in the same year as one of the Storybook Annuals. But the cover is misleading, as all the contents are reprints of strip stories straight from the comics. While the Storybook Annuals only have artwork covers, but all the contents are text stories in the Adam West style.

A friend who passed away a few years ago bequeathed that annual to me. Love it!

I love how the art director did both Adam and Burt dirty with the image choices for that cover.

Yeah, not the most flattering pictures, to be sure.

Purchased three of these holographic prints at last month's Motor City Comic Con. One was for me, the other two were for the choir director and assistant pastor at my local church, both of whom are hardcore Batman fans. The artist in question is Sean Anderson.

Nice work. Interesting choice for the boots.

Yeah. It looks like someone was trying to make Batman seem completely ridiculous, or perceived the series to be that way in general by using such a photo (much like the cover for the movie's novel adaptation).

You can see silver rivets on the gloves, too. Anderson was obviously going for a more functional version of the classic costume, while still keeping it intact.

I'll probably have to buy another one of these prints for my sister and her husband, since he's a Batman fan as well and her favorite color is yellow.
