HOLY BATMAN THE MOVIE WARDROBE MALFUNCTION!
Mrs Fish wanted to watch BATMAN RETURNS the other night so I paired it with BATMAN THE MOVIE so I could finally lay to rest in my brain if the boat is blue or black-- and in the first scene of Batman and Robin arriving at the pier-- as Victor Paul (Robin) jumps out of the car with Hubie he's missing his belt-- all the way down the pier batpole and onto the boat-- after he unmoors the back line, and he moves to jump into his seat-- the belt has returned!

Now I’m going to have to watch that scene, Andy! Not sure how many times I’ve watched that movie but I never caught that.

Great observation! Since Season Two recycled a lot of movie footage, I checked the "to the Batboat!" sequences from the Archer and Sandman/Catwoman episodes. The Archer episode used the same sequence as the movie, and the Sandman/Catwoman version cuts out Victor's run along the top of the pier, so that his belt is only missing as he slides down the pole and unties the boat.AndyFish wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 5:22 pm HOLY BATMAN THE MOVIE WARDROBE MALFUNCTION!

Nice catch, Sir! I think there's two or three takes of that we see in total, so it's funny that the belt-less got used in the final cut.Jim Akin wrote: ↑Fri Apr 18, 2025 8:22 amGreat observation! I just re-watched every episode of Season 1 and really enjoyed it. I went straight into Season 3 and wow! The contrast! Adam did a great job in Season 1 trying to portray a comic book accurate portrayal of Batman. I love him but he went over the top in Season 3. Season 3 is like a standalone show. It seems a lot of sets were just on empty stages, as you all know. Going from Season 1 to 3 was crazy!

Yeah season 1 and season 3 are like night and day in terms of quality. The worst set the show ever had was that "Dock side" set in the Nora Clavicle episode. My god how the budget had fallen.JimmyVale wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 7:27 pm I just re-watched every episode of Season 1 and really enjoyed it. I went straight into Season 3 and wow! The contrast! Yes! That one was ridiculous. It was almost like an elementary school play or something! They changed the costumes for Season 3, which I didn’t like. They gave Batman the curved ears and did something to the fit of his cowl. They also made the eyeholes in Robin’s mask too big.Pengy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 11:15 pmYeah season 1 and season 3 are like night and day in terms of quality. Adam was over-acting, too. They had it right in Season 1.
One of my all time favorites is “Surf’s up, Joker” and that’s from Season 3 so it wasn’t all bad. The music was fun too. I’m going to rewatch the whole season 3 this month.
