Marilyn Hanold (Liberace’s moll “Doe”) was the model for Elvgren’s classic Halloween witch pinup

Marilyn Hanold, who played “Doe” in the two Liberace episodes of Batman, was a pinup/photographer model.

I’m sure many of you already knew it, but I just found out that she was the model for Elvgren’s classic Halloween witch pinup.

That's wild (annoying Otto Preminger aside)! Like Ben, I've seen that photo a gazillion times, especially as Halloween was my favorite time as a schnick and I remember seeing it in so many places. I know not many like the Liberace episode, but it's one of my favorites as his three Norne molls were so beautiful to look at - especially in their Scots outfits at the beginning. :D Actually, I don't know what it is (colors, artwork...?), but looking at the famous image I can almost feel the vibes like it's October 1971 and I'm back in the Halloween section of Grant's Department Store in Union Lake, Michigan. What a great sentimental feeling! If anyone builds a time machine give me a call.
