Catwoman Pistols

Post by rsaffle »

I'm proud of my newest props. There are a few versions of these Catwoman pistols floating around, but I think these are the most accurate of them all. Thanks to the auction photos of the real prop and my improved 3D sculpting skills. I looked up the actual toy prop gun used and scaled my pistols off of that. These are 100% 3D printed but I made them very solid and they have a good weight to them.

I made a Newmar version with a removable red dart and a Kitt version with the scope. I decided to leave the belt clip off but will probably make one later. My photos don't show the Kitt name tag on the base but I did make one. Also designed the base with nameplates on both sides so you can show off either side.

I've been watching videos trying to learn how to gold electroplate and think these could be outstanding if I go through with it.

Excellent work! Looks great!

I have to admit I got a cringe with the name plate.
It's like when I see a replica Superman costume with a Bermans and Nathan tag in it.
It crosses the line into forgery or misrepresenting an item.

If it were just her name, groovy. The signature, too much.

Otherwise, stellar work!

Use the same font, but Selina Kyle instead of Newmar…

What if I told you it was an actual autograph by Julie? ;?)

I understand what you are saying though. Easy change. Thanks!

That's exactly what it implies. If you have a deal with her, great.
We did a limited edition with Burt Ward and some Wonder Boy masks with his signature embroidered on them.
They take that stuff seriously.
Just sayin'.
