I’ve often wondered if someone can design floating bathubs.
Well a place in Canada, Dynamic Caps, has designed something for Corvettes and other brands, that may be reverse engineered for Batmobiles. They make 2 versions, a low speed version for car shows, and a high speed version for “all the time”
Just something to think about….

I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.

It still breaks my brain when I see these floating hubcaps. In photos and videos, it almost doesn't look real! haha

While it is a really cool concept, I highly recommend that you do not pursue this at all. The 3D printed design they show snaps into the housing, and there is no mechanical lock. I have made wheel bats out of aluminum and out of steel, and the centrifugal force of them spinning is enough to put them in the air 50-75 feet if they get loose. Yes, you can 3D print the wheel bat, but the same force is part of the equation, and it could still get away from you. Even an ABS plastic bat can cause an accident if it hits the car behind you, or injure the person on the sidewalk.

Nice Bat-touch.
Maybe if there was an engineering firm behind its design and manufacturing to ensure safety. My concern was more about somebody stealing the bat hub.

Good call Mark. Wonder if it could be engineered in metal for a 66 model. I bet the weight of that bathub is not less than an ounce, like these plastic pieces from Chevy.
I learned a lesson on my Vette. The image on the hub has to be perfectly aligned, or it’s always at an angle. Not the products fault, but the Corvette supplier.
On the other hand if you had a black C8 ZR1, you could change the Emblem to a Bat, red. That might be fun…
