Sign me up for team both and team all for Batman too. I love the way woman looked in that time.

Everyone at the party thought the Kona tiki statue was wood and were surprised by how lightweight it was compared to what they expected. They were very impressed! It was a hit!
By the way, Randy, the “wood grain” detail you added to the top of the tiki statue looks fantastic, giving it an extra dimension of realism. It didn’t go unnoticed.

Ha! I'm glad it all went well. Your pictures look great.BiffPow wrote: ↑Thu Oct 30, 2025 3:51 pm Everyone at the party thought the Kona tiki statue was wood and were surprised by how lightweight it was compared to what they expected. They were very impressed! It was a hit!

The wood grain look on the top was a nice effect that I really didn't have to do much to achieve. On normal prints the curved areas of an object are the hardest parts to print out smoothly. I typically try to add a smoothing effect to those areas where the printer slows down and does more detail. This model, I basically left it alone during the sculpt and the print and the topographic map looking masses just happened naturally.
The wood print look actually made it much easier to pull off, but thanks!

Amazing! It looks like a natural wood grain, and I was even bragging about your attention to detail to add that!
But, your attention to the detail deserved to be bragged about, anyway.
Thanks, again!

boy that is a problem, on a lighter note do you have any photos of yourself as Mr. Howell?
Re: “Gilligan’s Island” radio restoration/prop
Umm, yeah, Andy, sure… Mr. Howell and, ummm, didn’t you write something about someone going as Ginger? I believe it was Mrs. Fish? If you’re posting photos, you may as well include both of you. Just to be complete and all.

Randy, is that 1 solid piece or did you print in sections and assemble?
Re: “Gilligan’s Island” radio restoration/prop
The 19" +- size of it required me to split it at the neck. I made a dowel to connect it and filled the seem with putty then sanded. I think the original was a little larger but I didn't want another seem in the body.Jimmy L. 66 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 21, 2025 9:15 pm Randy, is that 1 solid piece or did you print in sections and assemble?
