Again, it’s a very nice sculpt and a pretty good likeness - of our friend who owns an Asian restaurant.

I’m guessing the belt isn’t finished because it’s a prototype, but it will be a complete belt?
Oh you're being way too strict! I see Julie in it. And that custom body from the back view captures her dancers body.

I don't know if the real belt in the back is like that. But if it's a full belt I'm pretty sure they will correct it.

I would agree, the body is looking pretty good with the narrow waist and flare of the hips. The costume has that weird belt-width band around the waist, though, that sort of ruins the effect. Not sure if it quite captures that shape of her bottom, but it is a plastic figure, after all.

As to the face, I don’t think I’m being too harsh at all. But, I’m glad you see Julie.

Anyway, I’ve said enough on it. Done.

Unless someone is Hell-bent on buying this scale of 1966 Catwoman (perhaps feeling that such an opportunity will likely never happen again), I cannot see anyone even remotely familiar with Newmar from any of her Catwoman appearances shelling out their funds for this terrible figure. The face sculpt's continuing deficiencies have been thoroughly discussed, but the body used is anything other than accurate to Newmar from '66 - '67.

I think we've about beat this one to death.
If you see Julie in it that's great.
If you don't, that's okay too.

Joost new video. Julie revised head sculpt. Julie will sign for signature edition. Wonder Woman update too.

Based on the design video that he says was uploaded this morning, it does look like it will be an improved sculpt. Looking better.

Hope it goes well.

Thanks for sharing that, BT.

The improvements to the sculpt, especially the chin, look so much better!

They haven't announced the prices for single figure and deluxe sets yet and pre-orders should be on one sixth kit store the last half of January.

My guess the Julie single figure price will be similar to the Michelle Pfeiffer Catwoman at $315.

Hi, Joost, the owner of JazzInc Dioramas, wanted me to ask all of you here what you think of their new Julie Newmar digital sculpt before they cast it and paint it.

It’s a definite improvement, BT. Very happy that they are/have been willing to make adjustments.

She looks sad, however. That’s the best way I can describe it. There’s a sadness in the expression.

(NOTE: I asked my son to look at the pictures - with no input from me - and tell me what emotion was expressed. His response: “it looks like a forced smile, like what a student would have when talking to his Calculus professor.” 🤣 I’ll count that as “sadness.”)

The sadness appears to be most visible in the eyes. I tried to do measurements as best I could and, based on those measurements, at least, it appears as though her left eye (right, as we face it) is just a little bit lower. (See photos). I typically use a clear ruler running from the top of one ear to the top of the other and measure the eyes that way. However, it’s possible that the top of one ear is just slightly lower than the top of the other, which may be throwing the placement of the eyes off. I’ll admit this is not the most scientific method of measuring, and I would think with the digital programs it should be more accurate, but, as it looks to me from my simple photographs, the placement of the eyes appear to be different.

I also think that sense of sadness may have something to do with the lips. The upper lip is maybe a bit too full, missing that little center “dimple” (for lack of a better word) and not drawn out with that slight upward curl at the ends that gives it that sort of “cat and mouse” expression I associate with Catwoman; 🤷🏻‍♂️

The bottom of her left chin (on the right side as we’re looking at the full face expression) appears to be a bit uneven/shorter than the other side of her chin;

Her jawline looks to be just a little too wide, to me, making her face look a little heavier.

Compare the full-face image of the proposed sculpt with the full face of Julie (like this one where she is winking). Make the photos about the same size on your device and then switch/slide back-and-forth to see the differences.

Still, much better. Julie is more recognizable in this version.

You can see that upward curvature of her center upper lip that gives her mouth that unique look. I realize her mouth is open here, but it still impacts the look of her mouth when her lips are together. Also you can see that curl to the edge of her lips.
