New leaks say the next wave are variants / repaints in the style of the 1977 cartoon Adam and Burt did the voices for.

Batman
Robin
Batgirl
Joker
Riddler
Commissioner Gordon (probably the only new figure)

Interesting. If so, then the Batgirl figure should look similar to the TV show with the prototype cowl that appeared in early Batgirl promotional photos.

I can already see Ian’s customization wheels turning in his head.

Penguin would be an easy repaint for McFarlane but Catwoman will be a bit more complicated with new legs as she had long boots. Alfred would probably be the new figure like Gordon. Mr. Freeze is also pretty different from the tv show on the cartoon.

Clayface from Filmation would look cool as well.

Just about to say that Alfred and Commissioner Gordon would practically be interchangeable, based upon the way Commissioner Gordon appeared in the 1977 cartoon

And the Filmation Clayface looks so much like Clayface in the tv series opening credits.

I see the similarity.

Are there plans to do Clay Face?

Todd McFarlane at Toy Fair 2023 and walkthrough of all his lines. Batman '66 is shown (but not rumored wave nine), which McFarlane said had been "pretty successful" for them. He said they're allowing them now to use that style and add "new stuff," and bringing in "new ideas," instead of going too deep in the "original well." Scroll ahead to about the 30-minute mark. Then at 37:34, a Target exclusive from Batman The Animated Series for an Alfred figure. Unsure of the scale and if it would work for the '66 line?

Thanks for sharing this, Todd's remarks definitely provide some interesting context, direct from the horse's mouth.

I know some of us have been speculating for most of this year about the future of this line at Macfarlane. In the interview, Todd's choice of phrasing ("not going too deep into the original well") is probably as close to a confirmation as we're going to get that we're done with direct TV show characters in this line. This is especially significant given that by this point, Macfarlane's original period of usage on the "Classic TV Series" has expired, assuming it was similar to the spec of the deals done with other manufacturers (aka, initial two year license, with the option to re-up 12mths at a time). It's my understanding that instead of renewing their '66 TV license, instead they have opted in to the '66 Comic Book license, with seemingly an arrangement to re-release previous/existing figures and vehicles from earlier waves on the TV license.

Thank you! I hope these are new sculpts and not just repaints. Disappointed that we may never get a Mad Hatter. I do not care if they never make any other show likenesses as long as they just make him. It would be the last comic villain adapted for the show not released yet and we already have a contaminated cowl Batman! We need Hatter to go with that!
