Ahhh so some one has a White 180 with a white some where

And as I head to pay day and closer to my classic bike show It means the Batgirl Cycle Starts :D

So getting Styrofoam to make a plug plus just got new muffler for it and found a chap who can make me a white seat cover 8-) but mine will have it's OEM Chrome trim as it should have

1st job is a cereal packet and a sweet tin or 2 and sharp knife and with luck get the front mudguard mocked up

Great thread!
Is it just my eye or is the bat emblem missing from the side in the photo with the maintenance guy sitting on it?
If so, could it be that this pic was taken AFTER the series finished?? Maybe a clue as to where the bike ended up....

With out the Emblem was the promotion version as it has a large yellow bow and no batgirl giger counter

and I think they did changes before filming

and what do you think of this colour for it

The correspondence in which Charles Fitzsimons refers to the bike being returned to the Yamaha dealer whom it was rented from suggests that it would be cheaper to return the bike in "modified" condition. The letter/memo also suggests that if Yahama should wish to use the bike for promotional purposes (ie carshows etc) that a deal would have to be struck with National Periodical.

Interesting stuff but no other clues on it

Looks like Yamaha did not take it up or in a secret collection ?

A Bit of a update Just got a guy who makes YCS1 seat covers in Black and chatted nice to him and he is making one in white just for me at the cost of $71 posted to the UK so great news :-)

So I have taken the seat off and my god it's wet sponge yukk but chrome trim is good so that's going back on any way my VJMC Side kicking in sozz. As the real cycle had a sort of cover on it and you can see the trim and strap under it if you looking for it.

I am looking at the big Issue of the rear part as Yvonne said about so I and thinking about a set up and fixing the seat properly back to it's mount on for MOT as we have in the UK so a right job there

Have you nailed down how you'll be making the custom body work? I dread to think of the cost of the rubber if you're going down the resin impregnated glass/carbon fibre route... :/
