🤣

I guess I would call the color of the suit more of a “berry” color than orange, but BC’s point is valid: the color isn’t accurate. It seems to match the online photos from the movie more than the series.

Most of the online movie photos show the Joker with chartreuse hair, instead of the more vivid green. That could explain why the McFarlane Joker’s hair is more like chartreuse.

But, yes, if they depended on some those online photos, and even some of the gum card images, they might have given Joker putrid orange hair. Fortunately, most of the movie photos online show at least the sickly green.

Not sure why the first release McFarlane Joker figure got the suit color correct but not the movie release with the dehydrator unless they were relying on the pictures from the film. Obviously, I don’t have the newest release in hand (since it’s pre-order) but it seems to be a different color than the original figure.

McFarlane is listing a Golden Age Batman figure with Ace the Bat Hound tomorrow- this is the first McFarlane figure I'm actually excited for. They're calling it Silver Age Batman but it's clearly more golden age.

I’m a little frustrated that the Wonder Woman from the 66 Comic wave has sold out everywhere already. It was only available for preorder for like a week. Maybe they’ll produce more?

Your best bet is to find some other collector looking for the Batman related figures and going in on a full set-- still available at EE and McFarlaneToys-- short of that when they finally hit stores they might show up briefly. And there is always a chance, like the cowls, they'll open up pre-orders again. Good luck!

Nice looking retro Batman but I'm a little bummed that they opted for the Neal Adams designed Earth Two Robin costume. Nice to see that the alternate head has the original bat-shaped mask, though.

I don't remember the bat-shaped mask, but to be fair I never really followed Robin's adventures. I like the gray and blue Robin Earth 2 costume from the JLA in the late 60s. Basically a Batman costume with a yellow cape.

Here is the Earth Two Robin's head shot. For the McFarlane alternate head, you have to enlarge the pic and you'll see the bat ears of the mask much better.

Oh that bat shaped mask went with the gray suit if I'm not mistaken.

Don't know if it means the line is coming to an end, but I just saw a listing of McFarlane's next wave of figures and there was no mention of '66-- I'd think not because he loves doing playsets-- I can't imagine he wouldn't do a Batgirl lair/HQ.

Mad Hatter should have been in like Wave 4-- not sure why that hasn't happened.

Todd McFarlane answered my questions during an internet interview today:

No to 7" Yvonne Craig Batgirl because the rights are still unresolved and he doesn't think Warner Brothers wants to pursue it. But it could change in the future.

Yes to George Reeves Superman! They are working on the rights.

I asked for Wally Grogan and Todd said yes eventually they will make an Earth 2 JLA #55 Robin.

I asked him I would like to see a 7-in Captain Action Batman and he seemed to consider it but didn't say yes or no.

Todd was not sure if the upcoming lights and sound 1966 Batmobile was for 7" or 6" and he said he should know because his name is on the box. He's guessing it's for 7".

I asked about 7-in figures for Caped Crusader Batman animated and he said some things he can't discuss but that something I mentioned is in the works.

I complimented the sculpt work and thanked him for his time.
