I would guess that that the two henchmen who were also "converted" by the falling flower pots also "recovered" like King Tut did at the end; although it might have made more sense if Victor were hit first, then the other two. Notice that when they get hit the soundtrack plays the same music as when Sandman gasses Robin the second time.

Good catch on the musical cue.

I agree it would have made more sense the other way. Plus, although I liked Grace Lee Whitney's performance and I'm glad she was getting some work after apparently being forced out of Star Trek because of some still-murky circumstances, it didn't make much sense to have a henchmoll who didn't seem to want to be there and was complaining constantly. Maybe it would've been better to have a slightly younger actress playing a college co-ed who also had amnesia. Just a thought.

Well we know one of the henchmen recovered and became a high school teacher. (Lloyd Haynes of "Room 222").

I thought in the pantheon of Tut henchmolls, Grace Lee Whitney was one of the stronger ones overall. The jealousy angle of her character toward Lee Meriwether as the object ofTut's obsession was a nice touch I felt.

And the other henchman, Tim O'Kelly, went on become one of the screen's scariest villains, the sniper in the 1968 movie Targets (his last words in the film will leave you stunned). Sadly his career never quite took off (he had the Danno role in the Hawaii Five-O pilot, but lost it after not scoring well with test audiences... so goes Hollywood).

Well, after getting back on track for a couple of weeks, ME-TV is randomly throwing on episodes again, though not quite as random as last time. This week we had Ethel Merman, and next week the Londinium eps, so at least they're in the same season.

As far as Sport of Penguins/Horse of Another Color, love the palm trees outside of Gotham City. Anybody have any idea if that was Santa Anita race track? I was reading the To The Batpoles site and laughing about it looking like they used the Dating Game set to save a couple of bucks <g>




Regarding Ice Spy/The Duo Defy, I can't remember if there was anything I wanted to comment on last week, other than Batman keeping live fish in his utility belt. LOL.

And I never commented a couple of weeks ago, but I enjoyed Pop/Flop Goes The Joker, too. Those eps, plus Ice Spy/Duo Defy and That/Scat Darn Catwoman were the only episodes I'd seen from Season 2 when I started watching last year, though last year I remember being kind of bored with the 5 painters in the competition. This time around, after having gotten interested in the series again, I was okay with it, and enjoyed the rest of the episode too, though for some reason I have no recollection of seeing the Joker going up and down the Batpoles last year. Maybe I got interrupted and never finished watching the episode. Anyway, it was great to get a glimpse down the Batpoles, and it was fun to see Alfred kicking butt with fencing the Joker and playing with him on the Batpoles. I even thought Alfred's painting of the elephants was cute. I think my favorite part of the episodes, though, was Batman on the telephone with the Joker, and seeing Joker jump when he realized that Batman was actually in the same room, not just on the telephone. I remember liking that scene last year, too.

Does that mean you only get to see the second part of the episode when it is a two-parter?

I agree the end of the Auburn/Alabama game was amazing. I have to admit that I've missed Batman the last few weeks watching football. I'm sorry to hear the Me is skipping around again. Of course, they have to do that some on the third season to keep the multi-parters together, so hopefully we won't miss any episodes.

Cool. I watched that back in the 70s. Your post made me want to go hear the opening theme song, so I went to youtube, and darned if I didn't see "Developed for television by Stanley Ralph Ross" at the end of the credits.

I'm constantly amazed at how I can watch these episodes OVER AND OVER and never get bored with them. Every time I glance at my 66 Batman figures on the shelf over my headboard, I am hit by a wave of nostalgia that makes me dig out my bootleg dvds and start watching all the Riddler, Penguin, Joker and Catwoman episodes all over again from the beginning.
