I'll share this here with my hard core Bat friends and detail nuts like me...
Comparing this to the bust on the show, I found the same flaw on the bottom lid of the left eye.
It flattens out and has a thinner lid.
The fiberglass casting created an air bubble there but just looking at this "Negative" of the bust in comparison, there is no doubt these came out of the same mold.
The fuller eye-bag on the left side, The fleshier area above the right eye, the pupil highlight shapes ,the asymmetry of the nostrils and tear ducts, etc...

Seeing him side by side with that Shakespeare bank this bust is even bigger than I thought. How big is it exactly?
It's between 20 and 21 inches tall. Once he get's his hair cut he will probably be a hair over 20 inches tall.
The proportions and angles are quite different from the licensed bust.
When I saw the real thing it struck me what a nice piece it really is! It made me want to sculpt it.
Much more subtle and balanced than what I expected.
This just saves me hundreds of hours and brings in the multitude of things a copy from scratch couldn't do.

Absolutely will have the hinged head. I'm in contact with Chris, the fellow that made those spot on metal dials awhile back to see if he can supply them. I also found the amber beehive lamp!
I'm hoping to have the light working but that's about it at this point.
I'm also considering kits or the raw fiberglass casts for the DIYers...

It will definitely be hollow. The original unmodified is but it's 1/2" thick cast bisque porcelain and weighs between 15 and 20 pounds!
I know that the fellow that made the Whiz Bang bust did a cold cast bronze version for around $1500. each...
