I would definitely buy aa book of this! Andy, I'd like to see a portion on the 43 and 49 serials location as well.

Ben answered most of that for you.
Although...
Century Plaza Hotel can be seen here between the chutes while they Bat-turn on "Avenue of the Stars."
Once again, once you get use to the lay of the land you can't help but notice afterwards.

This shot below was done on a cross street called "Empyrean Way" facing towards "Avenue of the Stars" and the Fox lot with Stage 19 facing. And as Ben said, Matte painting for the rest of the "city"

And because I can't help it.

Thank you, Ben and Scott, for the pictures and overhead map of Empyrean Way and what turns out to be matte paintings. For the longest time I thought that was a real cluster of office and apartment buildings somewhere in the L.A. area and went on a wild goose chase on Google and Bing maps trying to pin down buildings that never even existed!

Any word on the book or did I miss the announcement?

Thanks for the kind words! Re: our book, real life keeps getting in the way. Between moving, getting married and spending the middle six months of last year on the road with one of the artists I work for, my foot has been off the gas on that project sadly. But fear not, it will get finished and the board is obviously going to be the first place to hear about it!

Thanks, Ben. I think I can speak for many here in that we're looking forward to it whenever it's finally published. As for 'real life keeps getting in the way'.... How about we start selling T-shirts with that oh-so-true slogan? I think John Lennon said it best when he observed "Life is what happens when you're making other plans."
