That's the second drop this weekend. target put it up at $183, so Amazon matched. Not sure who put it at $179, but God Bless the price match!

So, do the ones who were so EXCITED and HAPPY to get it at $189 get the lower price or do they need to cancel and reorder? See, this is why I don't jump to buy. I will probably walk into my Costco on November 11, pick up a case of Slim Jims, a vat of Blue Bonnet butter, a tub full of my favorite adult beverage, and then stroll over and get the Blu Ray set for $139.99. Then I'll retire to the snack area, buy a slice and look at the back of the box...LOL No worries, no hassles and done and done.

My point is, these sets will be all over the place. I preorder NOTHING--unless you don't go to stores such as I have a feeling some of us don't. I have a 14 year old that tries to have me preorder video games in the belief they won't be around. On release day, they're stacked to the ceiling, special little toys included and all.

With an Amazon pre-order, you get the item at the lowest price it hits between the time you place the order and the day it ships. If the price goes up, you're safe from the hike, but if it goes down, that's your new locked-in price.

Not a bad deal, really. Until they "ship" it by kicking it from the warehouse to your door.

That's why I go with Amazon John, not only do they have a link so you can alert them to a lower price so they can match it, they automatically lower your pre order price. I've even gotten a credit issued from them when the item has dropped AFTER it's shipped. They aren't kidding that you will get the lowest available price, so it eliminates the need to hunt around.

The websites for Target, Walmart, Best Buy and Barnes & Noble all state that the Deluxe Bluray Edition will not be sold in any of their stores. The only way to get it is online.

Concerning Amazon.com's pre-order price guarantee, all I did was pre-order the deluxe edition the day it was announced and they have automatically reduced my price to the lowest current sale price. I pre-ordered it when it was $189.99 and now the price that I am going to be charged from Amazon is $179.99.

Sorry Lou I can't post a link on my phone, or if I can I certainly don't know how, but if you just search Amazon for Batman Blu Ray it comes up first. I just cancelled my DVD order (down to $139) and ordered the blu ray. I'm with Mark, I think it drops again, but regardless, I'm in for $179

The DVD series will probably not be Region Free. It will be Region 1. Very rare for a big U.S. studio release to be multi-region.
