I know members have posted pics of these Bat-bombs, and they show up on ebay from time to tome... but has anyone listed a good list of materials to make one?
Look for the large X-mas balls out this time a year.( a bit larger then a basketball). They go for around 25-30 dollars. Perfect for the bomb! Also, wait to after the holidays and get them 1/2 off.
A couple years ago when I made mine I had a heck of a time searching for the right material.
I ended up,but don't remember where, ordering off the web a large plastic ball intended for dogs to play with. They had variable sizes. One brand is " Jolly" which I didn't go with for the fact they had the company name molded into the ball and I didn't feel like re-working something like that for what it was worth.Drill a hole on top of the ball and use a section of PVC pipe, cap off the exposed hole on the end of the pipe with a rubber firewall grommet/plug,get a small section of nylon rope, fray the end and paint red.For a stand, take the plastic cover from a stack of 25 CD's and flip upside down.
