Shelf sitters from Down Under

"Holy wooden acting, Batman!"

Image
Wooden Batman and Robin by Ian McLean, on Flickr

Handpainted wooden Dynamic Duo found in a Merimbula souvenir shop, Down Under, in 2007. They had hundreds of popular culture identities! Batman's mask and Robin's hair are built up with a textured medium. The bendy legs are made of stiffened sash cord. (Not my work, but a great inspiration for your own crafty ways?)
"Holy nostalgia, Batman!"
