Batgirl's Batty Award

Post by Pat The Batman Fan »

Hey Everyone-

Another prop I'm making for my Bat-Music documentary is Batgirl's "Batty" Award.

After a VERY lengthy search, I finally found the exact type of trophy topper used in the original prop... the only problem was, it had wings coming off the arms and back! Here is the result after cutting them off with a roto-zip, sanding and priming it:

I also found a set of the same type of pillar used in the original prop:

The topper needs a little more light sanding before painting... I'm also thinking of making a mold of it so I can have extras if needed. The thing was quite a chore to locate and prepare... don't want to go through that again!

After that I just need to order the base and the inscribed plaque!
And why doesn't Batman dance anymore? Remember the Batusi?

Oh, and I forgot... I'm having the bat wings laser cut from acrylic too.

Cool... and if you're gonna make a mold, you can make extras for everyone ;) :D
