Review of figures
As pedantic as this is going to sound... it really is still bugging me that they're putting these animated figures out somehow under the "Classic TV Series" license. Seeing that logo on that Batgirl packaging just looks and "feels" wrong.

These could be fillers while they work through new licenses

That's what I was thinking. But I still love this latest wave!

What makes me think that there won’t be any more Batman ‘66 figures is that they call the current release “Wave 1.”

Maybe Saturn/Mars Toys will go deeper with their 1/12 line, but I doubt it.

Speculators skew the sales numbers too. First wave, everyone buys two or three of key figures and that tapers off until the hard core collectors are left, and that volume may not be enough to sustain the higher than normal licensing fees

It's easy to see a line run out of steam-- when you start to go deep you reduce the audience drastically from general appeal to hardcore fans. I don't buy the idea of '66 fans dying out-- the show had a resurgence in 1989 when the Family Channel brought it back to ride the wave of the Keaton film, and it continues to run on ME-TV which commands a pretty broad audience. But take that down to who actually wants a plastic figure of these characters and it falls off. I'd consider myself a pretty serious fan but I'm not a collector who has to have everything-- I have about a half dozen from the line of the more oddball characters-- surfing, pink cowl, King Tut, but I have no interest in going any deeper. I have the cartoon figures on pre-order but I'm seriously considering canceling the order because I see them as just being stored away.

1/12 line--or did you mean 1:6 scale.

If its the latter, I seriously doubt any company would go deep with characters few are aware of, and as a result, would not be profitable. Only major licenses for IPs like Star Wars and Star Trek see that kind of production, where even the C-level characters have a stronger following / figure interest than the Dozier series.

I would never expect anything beyond the main heroes, the "big four" villains, with a remote chance of a Mr. Freeze, but under no circumstances would I ever believe figures of the Archer, Commissioner Gordon, O'Hara, Bookworm, False Face, or even the better-known molls will ever be produced in that scale. There's not enough interest.

1/12 line. Have been seeing pre-orders both on eBay and AliExpress.

These are fun! I’m pleasantly surprised after feeling very “meh” with the whole Death Man thing. A worthy subset that will hopefully at least get me Gordon’s office.

My grandson found my Batmobile bank that came out a few years ago. I went looking for my Simms Batmobiles, but it’s tucked away, so plan B is the customized McF Batmobile

I really wish they could release the 66 Bat Copter balanced with a hook so perhaps it could be hung from the ceiling

And that right there is what toys are meant for. We can enjoy collecting them, but never forget a toy is happiest when a child loves it.

Andy,
Right on!

As far as a Batcopter, I bought a Gay Toys vintage copter, but I need to test fit a figure. If that works, this could be a short term solution.

The 1966 line could be revitalized by making them again but in 7-in scale.

I'd also like to see them add the Captain Action Batman to the line.

I ended up canceling my order-- but they look fun! Happy for those of you looking forward to these.
