Can anyone ID this Superman item?

Post by njboywonder »

Lifesize wall decal, starting at :59 (Not the Routh one shown in the image here.).

I assumed maybe Fathead but not finding it with that search. Also, does anyone know if it exists for Batman or any other characters?

Thanks.

Interesting how the shape is notched and trimmed away almost like it was designed to go around something that is not there.

No idea.

Kenny Richardson, the guy who posted the video above, mentioned the piece in question at some length in a 2017 video that's still posted on his YouTube channel. He described it as a cardboard standup that has the same illustration printed on both sides and noted that "it looks like a Fathead but it isn't."

In a comment on that video, I asked for more info and here's what Kenny said:

"I got the comic book Superman standup at my local Walmart a few years ago. It was a display for the Halloween costumes. The manager said that I could have it because they were going to burn it after they were finished with it."

I assumed whatever it was was going to be unobtainable. A shame because it's awesome.

Thanks very much x2 for the help.

The YouTube page didn't allow comments for me to ask there.

No problem. FWIW, I just figured out in the course of investigating this that I had to subscribe to Kenny's YouTube channel in order to comment on his videos. I don't think that's the case with all YouTube videos, but perhaps it's a setting he chose when he set things up.
