New tooling makes this attractive. As much as I enjoyed the Aurora version, its inaccuracies were not easy to gloss over.

Most people don't notice it because it looks like a reflection but the Black Beauty sometimes had a chrome hood ornament. For Black Beauty 1 it was painted on and for Black Beauty 2 it was an actual metal chrome piece. It looked diamond shape so I think they should have added a decal for it.

Nice black wash on the rims…wonder how the size compares with the Batmobile model. They really undersized the 1/18 Batmobile when compared to the Futura and Black Beauty - different mugs I guess. In this case we have the same mfg for both cars, so maybe one can hope.

Randy, any update? A friend of mine heard from Round 2 indicating that distribution to retailers would be shipping in early November. He was curious if you had received your order.

It says in transit and I have a FedEx shipping number. Doesn't say when it will arrive exactly.

Mine arrived tonight. The model looks nice and all of the parts have a good weight to them. All bagged up in the box too. The interior has some tiny pieces that will need to be carefully removed. The main body is two tones of black and will probably look nice but I'm still thinking about painting it right now. The finish has a few blemishes in the molding, but not terrible. It's a kit that has a bunch of details that you could detail paint for some time if you choose.
I open most of my collectables but this would be cool to keep in the box too...I'm goofy that way. I have always liked packaging. Lol

After reading the instructions I'm a little disappointed that you have to choose to glue the interior panels in an open position or cut away the tabs to do closed doors.
Would have been nice to have some movable parts. The hidden headlights and trunk drone doors are the same way.
