Mail came and went and I was just about to pour when the mail carrier zoomed up the driveway with my package. I’m a happy boy!

Lou, mine arrived today too and am very happy with it.

It was a pleasant surprise how happy I was to open it. I have an original vintage mint in the box in a mylar bag and I haven't opened it in decades. So when I got the new one I thought I'd be pretty used to it but it was like all new 1966 again.

It still had that surprising heavy weight as we're all used to plastic Batmobiles.

It's beautifully painted much more nicer than the vintage.

There's some things a little different like the shirt sticker is not paper instead of silk cloth and the rims are not as bright gold. But even in the 1960s there were so many variations that there's a book about them. I don't mean two or three variations I mean like 20 or 30. So this fits in.

This is really well done and quite a bargain at $50 considering originals MIB sell for for a $1000.

Did you see your edition number on the certificate of authenticity? My number ended in 66!

I’m sure this is the place to be corrected if I’m wrong, but weren’t early promotional photos of the 1966 Batmobile a matte black or primer color with white trim? I don’t think the issue lies with Corgi’s design team assuming anything, does it?

It's like it's 1966 again but this time we know better not to take them for granted. And buy more than one.

I tried to swap for the matte Batmobile but the button to finalize order is grayed out.

The new models don't usually come out until about the 15th of the month-- I have a feeling this is just a placeholder.

As predicted, you can now order the Matt Batmobile or you can swap out your next item for it.
I managed to order 5 and have it ship October 15th. Easy peasy-- or as easy is this overly complicated club can be. ;)

Now for those of you who want multiples but would rather budget-- it would seem to me that you can keep swapping your next membership car for another Batmobile if you stay with the club.

Order confirmed and expect a shipment notification soon

For the casual buyer, expect the email tomorrow that you may order the matte car on Oct 15

I just rescheduled to delay and reschedule until the matte Batmobile was available. Then after I swapped and it confirmed the swap, I rescheduled to be sent today and clicked the send now button.

I only bought three cars before the matte Batmobile. You don't have to buy 43 cars to get one.

Later I will reschedule every 3 weeks until the silver James Bond car is available and then I will swap for that. Then I would keep rescheduling until the yellow submarine and Batboat are available.

Andy, they do make it overly complicated.

It would have been simpler if they just had members choose the car they want to buy without a requirement of buying a car every month like a Columbia record club.

It was like being a raven trying to figure out how to get the food from the tests.

Lou, nice find. I kind of wondered how many Batmobiles Corgi sold. Apparently more than the James Bond car.

I wonder if the Aurora Batmobile model kit sold as many?
