Yep, My son and I were at Cobo on Sunday to catch the last day of the Detroit Autorama. Got to meet a fellow board member and was kind enough to pose with me.

The display, and the response to it as indicated in the article, just proves you're never going to top Barris' original.

I saw some photos from this event online over the weekend! Very cool indeed. I think the majority of us here have a pretty strong preference as to the star of the show, but that said, there's something pretty darn impressive about seeing all five of those vehicles side by side.

Most people in Detroit were milling about the '66 Batmobile. They had a nice 10-12 ft diameter '66 style Batsignal shining on the wall opposite the display and music from the show and the movie playing at the display as well.

He said he had posted on the board but I never asked him for his secret identity...he's Batman for gosh's sakes and I left it at that. He and his partner, Batgirl, were very generous with their time, posing with people at the display. Batgirl must have brought her own wheels to get to Cobo. I have to admit, the Batgirl cycle looked like it was designed for a teenager. I'm sure that it wasn't the actual cycle but, wow, it seemed very petite.

She moved away to take pics with other people. My son and I were on the way out and there was a large enough group around her so I was just happy to talk to Batman before we left.
