Last year, a dear friend of mine passed away from a heart attack, far too young. He was an absolute gem of a human being—kind, funny, and just an all-around great guy. He had collected a lot over the years, especially animated Batman memorabilia, along with many other superhero-themed items.
He and his husband—also a very dear friend—had decorated their home from top to bottom with an incredible array of fan treasures spanning sci-fi, horror, comics, animation, Doctor Who, and more. His widower provided at least half if not more of the displayed items.
Now, over a year since his partner’s passing, his husband is taking steps to move forward. In hopes of finding new homes for these cherished pieces, he’s organized a two-day estate sale.
There’s no item list and no online buying or selling—just an in-person event happening in North Hollywood, CA. Hopefully, this post will reach some interested folks beyond the usual social channels.
Many of the items for sale are pictured below. Mainly a lot of Batman and some other supers like X-Men and other Marvel characters.
I’ll be there lending a hand both Saturday and Sunday, so maybe I’ll get to see some of you.
