This is a great clip and yes, it has been posted here before. If you plug "orange-colored sky" into the message board search tool, you'll likely find discussions of this performance and of an infamous Burt Ward cover version of the same song (on a single produced by none other than Frank Zappa). Ward has since acknowledged what anyone who'd heard the record already knew: His singing leaves something to be desired.

Adam had a good voice, absolutely. If I'd seen this as a kid I would have been sad. I would often defend West's BATMAN as not goofy, and then inevitably the Black Widow my little butter cup song episode would come on and I'd lose any ground I'd gained.

I think they crossed the line from camp to (bad) comedy both in skits like this and on the show.
It's a shame they didn't follow the original Lorenzo Semple bible for the show which explicitly said Batman should never look foolish.
