Re: 1/6 and 1/9 scale ‘66 GH and Kato head sculpts on eBay
LOL! Yeah, its not the best likeness, but to even have a cloth costumed 1966 GH figure falling somewhere between the 8 to 9 inch scale was a can't miss opportunity.

Re: “The Law” STRIKES AGAIN! Hot Wheels 2025 Batboat saga.
How hard do you think they had to hit or drop that box for that to happen. $135 up the shoot as Bruce Wayne would say. Sheesh! What did they do--use the package for batting practice? Due to similar experiences, my personal policy is to attach "fragile" signage on packages, no matter how s...

Re: 1/6 and 1/9 scale ‘66 GH and Kato head sculpts on eBay
I have been working on a Mego style Black Beauty for some time now. My car sculpting skills are getting better with each attempt but so far, I haven't been happy with it yet. It's actually a tough one to design because it has a roof and four doors, so to make it work with the Batmobile sizing and s...

Re: Jazz Inc Batcycle
Fantastic!
I would LOVE to have Ward's autograph to display along with the cycle. Film's far-and-away greatest Robin is inseparable to the cycle, and Ward's signature is a wonderful nod to his selling the real bike so well.

This is my Radium Gun WIP. Like I said, the handle area and back-end details are my designs, but the rest of it was as accurate as I could make it. Put a lot of effort and time into studying that. The photo resolutions available can make details look like one thing but then appear totally different...

Re: Disney Batman
I'm afraid it would be more like LEGENDS OF THE SUPERHEROES. I feel certain that would have been the fate of the '66 show had it not been canceled when it was. Agreed; by the 3rd season, the series was more bad parody than anything resembling the tone of the first season, and its that version of Ba...

Re: 13th Dimension Great Articles
My brother and I were ground zero for the World's Greatest Superhero line when it debuted; we spotted the first DC four (Batman, Robin, Superman & Aquaman) at a store in Los Angeles, and were instant fans. Mego was biggest toy line in my home pre-Kenner Star Wars, with figures and playsets from ...

Re: For Lewis Wilson BATMAN (And Serial) Fans...
Of the figures pictured, I'd only consider the well-constructed 1943 Batman (the actual screen '49 Fatman with his baggy support hosiery was a joke in poor taste, along with his aging barfly of a "Boy Wonder"--much like the sight gag that was the '43 Robin). If commissioned figures were a ...

Re: Mego comic action hero question
I was never a fan of the Mego stuff, it seemed very cheap. Where you guys not into the Captain Action figures? Mego's 8-inch figures made improvements over their production lifespan, and I still believe they're among the best action figures of any line of the 1970s. Regarding Captain Action, that w...

Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
Unless someone is Hell-bent on buying this scale of 1966 Catwoman (perhaps feeling that such an opportunity will likely never happen again), I cannot see anyone even remotely familiar with Newmar from any of her Catwoman appearances shelling out their funds for this terrible figure. The face sculpt'...

Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
How would one verbalize the steps they should take to improve the sculpt? For me, there’s really not much guidance one could give to them beyond: “it doesn’t look like Julie Newmar.” They don’t need input from others to come to that determination or to make changes/improvements. They need only look...

Re: SEE JazzInc Julie Newmar head sculpt and Lynda Carter announcement video
Well, it’s a lovely figure with great detail, but still doesn’t look like Julie. 🤷🏻♂️ Agreed. It is an astoundingly inaccurate sculpt. Newmar's distinctive facial features and body type are nowhere to be found in this figure. For all of Jazz Inc's promotion about their attention to detail / perfor...

Re: Mego comic action hero question
Yes, Wonder Woman was way too buff and Robin was maybe the buffest of all the figures. Not sure why Batman is smallish Wonder Woman was hideous, but that's what happened when Mego cut corners by using the same body (or so it appeared) for every figure except the Hulk. On the subject of Comic Action...
