Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?

Early 1970s Batman from Adams, Aparo, et al. was Batman gold, perfectly restoring the blend of the superhero with serious mystery, crime and Gothic themes. Arguably published Batman at his best.

Re: ABC Network Summer Reruns and Bumper Mystery

Despite the entirely implausible 4th season/NBC rumor's debunking ages ago, I still come across a few who insist the rumor was "verified" as fact, when no such facts exist. Usually, the 4th season advocates go a long way into convincing themselves that there were few things wrong with the ...

Re: Stewart Berkowitz’s Black Beauty sold in January for $41,800

UGH, its that 1970's recreation where Barris tried to "Batmobile" the Black Beauty with all of the colored pinstriping, a GH symbol on the doors and the "eyes" or whatever that was supposed to be on the windshield, along with other hideous modifications not native to Dean Jeffrie...

Re: Neal Adams Batman study

Wonderful work, Chuck. The greatest comic book Batman interpretation of all, and you've captured the non-scowling Adams Batman perfectly! It’s interesting, to me it looks like maybe Ben Affleck was perhaps the closest match to Neil Adams’ interpretation of Batman. Agreed; I thought the same thing on...

Hot Toys' attention to detail played so well in animated form. That would not work with 6-inch or the larger Neca figures.

Re: “Gilligan’s Island” radio restoration/prop

Man, that is a fine reproduction. Of all of the possible prop replicas one could make from Gilligan's Island, the statue would not be the first one I'd consider. But its great you reproduced it. Any plans to make the castaway voodoo dolls, or perhaps a miniature of the test space capsule?

Re: William Dozier "Corpse Of The Year 1 & 2" narration/synopsis "bumpers"

Something I edited together, exit/intro narrations, rarely heard, often cut from broadcast. https://youtu.be/EsCZEtyNoBI?si=aoPSUzoTum26zLC1 Thanks for posting this, AP! The teaser narration I'm looking for is the one from part 1 of "Invasion from Outer Space" , where Dozier refers to the...

Re: Podcast Questions! Let's hear from you.

In The Green Hornet Case Files episode, "Is the Green Hornet PULP? ," the 1969 film Marlowe was briefly discussed, specifically the scene where Bruce Lee as the "Winslow Wong" character introduced himself to Marlowe (James Garner) by breaking a few pieces of furniture in Marlowe'...

Agreed.

Any merchandising of the '66 series is pointless without Robin, who helped in the success of the series and its image.

Re: Best and Worst of the Newbies

Art Carney--either the direction wasn't good or it was his performance or both but he was dull onscreen. The price of casting someone in a role that's so satirical (in part of Carney's other performances), that there's no feeling of danger to the series leads. Inherent issues with having a villain ...

That looks like anyone other than Newmar, and certainly not accurate enough to shell out the kind of money Jazz will be asking for this.

No Robin? Pass until a glass with the "Dynamic Duo" are featured. This glass was based on the TV series, and said series did not work without the impact of Robin, so again, pass on this one.
