Many thanks for the kind words. It took WAY too long to make - the most tedious part was hollowing it out with nothing but a dremel sanding drum!

But I ended up with exactly what I wanted - something that was made as much as possible from the same materials and using the same methods as the original.

Cheers!

Well, since someone else resurrected this thread, a teensie little update.

Although the auction pic of the original had a brass colored something or other at the bottom, I decided I liked Clint's silver button, so I re-painted mine. I actually like it better - the gold colored button didn't have enough contrast, even though I thought it would make sense to echo the color of the antennae.

Awesome! Something occured to me. Remember in the movie when they were on the bouy. Somehow Batman was able to modulate the frequency to destruct the torpedoes. You could see him turning something on the radio but not sure what. Also the movie version had that "handle" that curved over the top. Dont remember the handle in the series. Anyway, awesome job!!!!!

Yeah, I didn't make the handle. I don't remember ever seeing the handle in the series, so that was my excuse for being lazy!

The Radio looks great and I had been thinking it would be great to have a model to build.
We have a pretty good template to start from.
Thank you good Citizen.
