Instead of throwing out the first pitch, they should have made him "bat boy".
He flies and fights-BATMAN!
Purity and virtue-BATMAN!
Cowards run away!
Batman saves the day!
Also, Boy Wonder Robin.
Batman and Robin-caped crusaders at night!
BIFF! POW! BAM! BATMAN!
Didn't think I was going to be able to make it, but I did! Got to shake Burt's hand, and he again said expect the Blu Rays in November. He was terrific, and very friendly.
I spoke to Burt last week (July 10th) and he said that they only had 10,000 tickets for the event and they ended up packing the place with 11,624 Batfans !!! Burt said that whoever put this event together is planning on more events like this. The man said that all of the Batfans were so nice and polite and Burt wanted to let you all know how pleased that made him !!!
On another note Burt wanted to know how many of the 66 Batman Message Board members are feeding their dogs the Gentle Giants dogfood ? hmmmmmmmmm....... About 3 months ago the Norfork VA police dept started buying a pallet of the large Gentle Giants for their K-9 dogs per month and one of their policemen is a trainer for the Navy Seal Dogs - these dogs are the ones who sniffed out BenLaden for us. They are now buying a pallet per month for these well deserving dogs !!!
Over 11,000 people? That's wonderful! I'm glad that they're planning more events. After such a big turn-out, it'd be a shame not to do so. I'm a fan of a lot of things, but I have to say that Batfans in general have always been the nicest people I've met.
Wow! That really is an amazing number and it's great to hear it went so well!
As far as the other note goes...If I had a canine companion right now or got another one in the future, Gentle Giants would definitely be my first choice of food to try!
